"The idea behind 'Musroek' was to combine different fascinations under one umbrella. It became a space to explore the many obsessions that force their way into life. Instead of organizing these ideas into neat little boxes, I decided to see where they would lead, much like tracking the patterns of migrating birds.

The act of journaling and tracking has become the work in itself, which allows for a larger range of expression. The artist takes the role of the curator by allowing other works or ideas to influence and take over the spotlight from time to time.

The essence of Musroek is spread among its many parts. That, to me, is what Musroek should strive to be."
